We all may have known that Apple did need an update in that charger area for it phones and now it looks like Apple will be offering a super-fast powerful charger bundled in the box with the upcoming 2018 iPhones.
Early news of the charger upgrade leaked in the start of the month and firming up these reports, ChargerLab has published renders of how the new chargers would look like.
The renders clearly depict a USB-C port which would probably mean Apple will also be introducing a USB-C Lightning cable in the box which would be Apples first.
The charger is expected to be the fastest of all previous releases from the company. It is rated at 18W, which is a significant upgrade to the old 5W chargers bundled with all iPhones to date.
Some previous models already support the USB-C feature but require apple users to purchase the accessory separately as the box only includes a USB-A 5w charger.
The new 2018 apple phones expected to be launched this fall with similar iPhone X designed with better upgraded specifications. Three models are rumored which include two OLED models and one LCD model. All models would include a notch in the display. The LCD model will feature a 6.1-inch display and the OLED models will come with a 5.8 inch and a 6.5-inch display.
Although an SE version is also expected this year but we don’t expect it to be shipped with the 18w USB-C charger due to the expected low price.
